End Dorset's Dental Desert
It's time for Dorset's dental desert to come to an end. Since 2010, Conservative cuts have meant that there has been a £1 billion real-terms spending cut in the dental budget. Now, people across West Dorset are struggling to see an NHS dentist when they need one. Edward Morello and the Liberal Democrats have set out their Dentist Rescue Plan to save NHS dentistry. The Lib Dem plan would: 1) Reinvest £400 million of underspend back into NHS dentistry to boost the number of appointments. 2) Include additional resources for mobile dental clinics to visit schools. 3) Remove VAT on children's toothbrushes and toothpaste.
