Charminster St. Mary's

Your Dorset Council Liberal Democrat Candidate for Charminster St. Mary's: David Taylor

Covering: Charminster St. Mary's, Charlton Down, Stratton, Bradford Peverell, Frampton, Brimstone, and Stinsford.

David is strongly against the Conservative plans to construct 3,500 houses between Charminster and Dorchester without any or little provision for affordable homes.

David's journey to politics is a testament to his adaptability and versatility. With an exciting career in the catering, retail, and banking sectors, he brings a unique perspective to the table. Settling in Dorchester 25 years ago, he used his diverse experiences to serve the community and became a Councillor in 2011.

David served as the Mayor of Dorchester in 2019. He is closely associated with various community groups, providing them with help and support. David is well-known for his passion for our area and has vigorously fought for the people's voice to be heard and acted upon.

He strongly believes in the welfare of our community and has worked hard to preserve essential local services such as buses, GP surgeries, the Tourist Information Centre, and libraries.

David Taylor is also the Councillor for the Dorchester North Ward in Dorchester Town Council.
