More problems to come at the Home Office

John Reid expects to find more problems at the Home Office and has said reforming the department would take two and a half years. He has compared it to peeling back the wall paper to find more problems. This comes after it emerged that the Home Office has failed to block the passports of convicted drug traffickers and Reid was forced to remind judges of the sentencing guidelines because prisons are, says Tony Blair, 'full to bursting point'.

NORMAN BAKER CALLS FOR NHS DIRECTORY

Local MP Norman Baker today called for the NHS to publish a public directory for Sussex which clarifies the relationship between many bodies which currently make up the National Health Service, and provides easy to find names, addresses and phone numbers.

Bogus Callers in Charles Crescent, Cheriton

Bogus workman claiming to be from the water board in order to try to gain access to peoples homes were seen in Charles Crescent on Sunday. The police were called after one resident raised the alarm.
