At the recent Liberal Democrat Conference, Colin Ross the Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Spokesperson for Wolverhampton South West had his hearing tested. RNID were offering free hearing tests for delegates, Colin had his hearing tested and now recommends others do the same.
Plans for a national ID card scheme have been branded "farcical" after suggestions it might misidentify people with brown eyes or men who go bald. Liberal Democrat home affairs spokesman Mr Oaten MP said ID card plans were "descending into farce".
This year 600 applicants applied for 180 places at west Hatch High. Unless an applicant had a brother or sister at the school, the 180 places will have been allocated to those pupils from Redbridge and Chigwell who live closest to the school's front door. Every other applicant has had to run the same gauntlet for Roding Valley and Debden Park schools and are sometimes allocated to Epping or Waltham Abbey. This includes pupils from north Chigwell, Grange Hill, Limes Farm and Buckhurst Hill.
Across the Country children are at risk crossing the road because of Gordon Brown's means testing according to Birmingham Liberal Democrat MP John Hemming. "I have problems in my constituency", he said "where we cannot fill vacancies for crossing wardens because the wardens lose too much of their means tested benefits if they earn £40 per week. Wardens can end up with only £5 in their pocket."
The Conservative campaign HQ on Compton Road in Park Ward is run down, shut down and closed for business. It's a further sign of the collapse of the Tories in Wolverhampton.
