Liberal Democrat Leicester City Council is investing £10 thousand in the alarms for 15 communal areas in the city's sheltered housing schemes.

Lib Dems advance in Woking

As a result of last Thursday's local elections on Woking, the Liberal Democrats have gained an additional 3 seats and taken over as the largest party on the Council, with 18 seats out of 36 total, ahead of the Conservatives on 15 and Labour on 3. They took 8 out of the 13 seats being contested this year - and narrowly missed a further gain by just two votes!

City Centre & West End LibDem Councillor Fraser Macpherson today (Saturday 6th May) paid a visit to Dundee's Dudhope Park which was the venue for the Parklife Launch Event - a picnic of action and music.

Tories crash to 3rd place in Park Ward

The Liberal Democrats said all along that the Tories couldn't win in Park Ward but when the votes were finally counted they were in 3rd place. Voting Conservative actually let Labour win as they had just 128 votes more than the Liberal Democrats.
